Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences was initially known as Medical Faculty of the Mongolian State University. The beginning of Mongolian history of modern medical science and practice was marked by the school. It was established in 1942 and is located in Ulaanbaatar. The medical faculty became independent of the Mongolian State University in 1961, and its name was changed to Mongolian State Medical Institute. The mission of the school broadened in 1989, and it was renamed to National Medical University of Mongolia. The school was restructured and transformed into a multidisciplinary training and research center in 2003. In June 2014, the school became Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences.

University Introduction:
Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences is a Public higher education institution. It has branch campuses in Darkhan-Uul, Sainshad, and Gabi-Altai. The school graduates more than 150 students every year. It is affiliated with the International University of Health and Welfare in Narita where students receive clinical experience. The school has 650 lecturers, 305 staff and workers, and 15 foreign faulty.
Faculty:
A large number of the faculty has master of medicine degree, PhD and specialist degree. The university has various schools which include School of Medicine, School of Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and Graduate school.
Campus Life:
There are 60 student clubs and organizations. Students get to experience extra-curricular activities based on their chosen fields in the diverse prestigious clubs.
