University Introduction:
Flinders University is a big and extended university with 26000 students and over 3000 staff members. The university was created in 1960 its planning and work started in 1961 and 1962. In 1965 the Australian Labor Party (ALP) decided to make it an individual university. On 1st July 1966, Act was passed and flinders university is created by the name of Matthew Flinders, a British navigator. Initially, university classes begin in 1966 with around 400 students. The first chancellor of the university was Sir Mark Mitchell and the first vice-chancellor was Mr. Peter Karmel. According to Times Higher Education World University Rankings, the university is ranked 401-500 internationally and 22-23 nationally.
The university has multiple campuses in Australia itself. The main campus of the university is the Bedford Park campus which is located around 12 km from the center of Adelaide.
